Planning a trip to Cancun? We highly recommend staying at the Wyndham Grand Cancun Resort. Here’s everything you need to know about staying there!
Location
The Wyndham Grand Cancun All-Inclusive Resort and Villas is perfectly situated in Cancun’s Hotel Zone along the beautiful beaches. The resort is a quick 20 minute drive from Cancun International Airport.
If you plan on dining outside the resort, there’s numerous restaurant options within a ten minute drive of the resort. Additionally, there are a variety of activities located near the resort, including snorkeling, parasailing, and speed boating. Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an iconic Mexico attraction, is located about two and a half hours from the resort. Planning a visit? Check out our Guide to Visiting Chichen Itza!
Resort App
The best way to get information about all the happenings at the resort is to download the Wyndham Grand Cancun app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app allows you to make restaurant reservations, view the resort map, and book resort activities.
Amenities
Three pools, beach access, and a swim-up bar – sound like fun? The Wyndham Grand Cancun Resort boasts a variety of amenities! You can spend your day lounging down at the beach or relaxing by one of the three pools. One of the pools has a swim-up bar, and another pool is adults only. Make sure to claim your lounge chairs early – they fill up fast! The resort also has a hot tub, steam room, tennis courts, and spa. There are a variety of activities offered throughout the day, including salsa dancing lessons and live performers after dinner. Use the resort’s app to check the daily schedule.

Restaurants
The Wyndham Grand Cancun Resort has eight restaurant options for guests to choose from, ranging from sushi to tacos to steaks. Da Vinci, an Italian restaurant, and La Vista, a Brazilian steakhouse, are the two dinner options. Our favorite restaurant was Pina Colada, where we were able to eat on the beach for both breakfast and lunch. Be sure to check it out, especially to catch the gorgeous sunrises during breakfast time!

Dress codes for each restaurant can be found in the resort’s app. The highest dress code level is formal for the dinner restaurants. This dress code asks that women wear dresses or long pants and that men wear collared shirts.
Restaurant reservations can be made in the resort’s app at 9 AM each morning. Reservations fill up quickly.
Room Types
There are a variety of rooms, suites, and villas to choose from. You can choose between two types of view: lagoon or ocean. The lagoon view faces the hotel parking lot with the lagoon in the distance. The villas can sleep eight people, so they’re a great option for those traveling with a large group. And as a bonus, most rooms come with a fully stocked mini bar included in their price!
Getting To and From the Resort
The Wyndham Grand Cancun Resort has a partnership with Caracol Travel to provide transportation between Cancun International Airport and the resort. Check out Caracol’s website to book your transportation. You can also make an airport transportation reservation in the resort’s app. In addition to Caracol Travel, there are also usually plenty of taxis waiting outside the resort.
